Covent House has a wide range of complementary therapies, counselling approaches, and alternative health care practices under one roof.
Complementary therapies aim to work with conventional medicine to help bring about the best state of health and wellbeing possible.
Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been practised in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years, and is now increasingly influential in the West. Although often described simply as a means of pain relief, it is in fact used to approach a very wide range of physical and emotional conditions. Its focus is always on improving the health and well-being of the patient overall, rather than focussing on isolated symptoms.
According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on our body's motivating energy – known as Qi – moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels beneath our skin. The flow of Qi can be disturbed by a number of factors; these can include emotional states such as anxiety, stress, fear and grief as well as hereditary factors, poor nutrition, infections, poisons and trauma – and even weather conditions. By inserting fine needles into these channels of energy, an acupuncturist can stimulate the body's own healing responses and help restore its natural balance.
I provide Art Therapy for adults and children who come for support for a wide range of issues.
Art making in a therapeutic space can play an important role in thinking about personal difficulties and in growing self knowledge which when explored together can lead to improved mental health and wellbeing.
My space has art, craft and nature based materials to explore with, which can allow for play and relief as well as helping to deal with more challenging material.
No pre-existing artistic skills are needed to choose art therapy, all that is needed is an openness to what can emerge through making.
I offer In-Person and Online Sessions.
I’ve trained in a range of psychotherapeutic approaches and I draw from them, or integrate them, differently with each person I see. I take this approach because I think we are each unique in our experiences, needs and hopes for the future, so different things are likely to help each of us at different points in our lives.
If we were to meet we would settle into a co-created process that fits you. I work holistically, by which I mean it feels important to me that we would pay attention to every part of you and your experiencing and not simply try to treat a ‘symptom’. I’ll be doing my utmost to travel alongside you compassionately, thoughtfully and intelligently. My work is underpinned by respect, care and curiosity, non-judgement and open-heartedness. You are welcome whatever your experiences, feelings or worries are, and however they show up.
Having qualified as an Integrative Humanistic counsellor in 2016, I have a solid foundation within various modalities including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Gestalt theories.
Following qualification, I completed a post graduate body psychotherapy diploma in Embodied Relational therapy. This approach focuses on two facts about human beings: we are embodied and in relationship. To be alive we need to be a body, and to be alive we need to relate to others. Our greatest challenges and our greatest joys follow from these twin facts. Embodied relational therapy strives to honour the importance of what our bodies are holding for us and explore creative ways to give space for expression. I have also completed a one-year training in Wild Therapy, which informs my work and encourages curiosity about the blocks we find in ourselves and how this impacts our experience of being human. I offer working outdoors, as this can provide a specific kind of container for therapeutic work, in which nature and the land can offer support and wisdom to an individual’s process.
I offer a warm and heartfelt approach. Therapy with me is a collaborative process—we work together for your growth. I tailor each session to suit your needs, including your mind, body, and soul in our work. Our sessions may explore the roots of your difficulties, including past and present trauma, as well as your potential for change and growth. I support you through deep listening and by truly seeing your struggles. I aim to celebrate the many parts of who you are. By offering reflections and practical techniques, I hope to help you gain awareness and ease inner conflict. Over time, I aim to support you in becoming more of who you want to be in the world. We may also explore your sense of meaning, purpose, and potential.
I recognise how cultural, social, and global issues can affect your well-being, and how systems of oppression may limit your ability to live fully and authentically.
My approach is broad and flexible, shaped by many trainings and over 15 years of experience supporting and guiding people. I primarily offer talking therapy, integrated with body-based (somatic) practices. My core training is in psychosynthesis counselling, which includes creative and imaginative techniques such as drawing and guided imagery. I also have a deep love of wild nature and a background in ecotherapy. I offer Outdoor Therapy in beautiful woodland settings, including RSPB Ynys-hir—a nature reserve in Mid Wales—where we can work among ancient Welsh oak trees against the backdrop of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park).
I am a Transpersonal Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, wellbeing and nature therapist living in the wild hills and mountains in the heart of MidWales.
I am a creative integrative ‘soul’ focused practitioner. I work to meet you where you are and everyone's process is unique- just as we are all unique.
I offer sessions which work to enable a connection to a 'deeper knowing'', of what you might be finding challenging or wanting to change in your life.
This can include developing a more vital and resilient way of being in the world. And be explored through eco psychotherapy, somatic and breath work, creative arts, Reiki and vocal release.
It is my honour to support people with their process towards health and wellbeing in a way which holds true meaning for them.
I care deeply about people, the land and our eco systems.
I offer 1-1/ and group work.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands on treatment which has its roots in osteopathy. It can be beneficial for almost any condition as it works with the bodies inherent healing potential, from structural through to emotional conditions, or for finding a restful relaxing stillness, which in turn resources the body and brings a sense of wellbeing.
My treatments involve listening to the natural craniosacral rhythm in the body, a subtle tidal fluid motion of the cerebral spinal fluid. This tidal motion is produced by the bodies inherent life force called the Breath of Life. The potency of the 'breath of life' carries an essential blueprint for health, which acts as a basic ordering principle at a cellular level.
The treatment provides an opportunity for the body to recognise the holding patterns and return to a more central balanced and healthier state of being.

These therapies are hands-on, using an enquiring touch to guide you into your own release from restrictions; to find deep relaxation in a supportive and nourishing environment.
Whether you are simply in need of some balancing and restoring, a nervous system reset, or are recovering from an injury, experiencing headaches, chronic pain, postural imbalances, or even such issues as snoring or fatigue, these therapeutic approaches can work together or apart to allow unconscious holding patterns to shift.
Megan’s approach to this work is deep yet subtle; following the principle that release achieved from within rather than through force is more effective, longer-lasting and more empowering.
